Dan Delgado

“Front man or side man, Dan Delgado has something musically to offer for every setting!”

Born and raised in Southern California, Dan started playing the trumpet at age 10 and has been lucky enough to perform all over the world. 36 countries, many of the States and looking forward to many more. Dan has also performed at major concert venues such as The Walt Disney Concert Hall, Orange County Performing Arts Center and the Famous Carnegie Hall. Also, a frequenter to other music venues such as House Of Blues, The Troubadour, Billboard Live Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Dan has also worked at DisneyLand in Anaheim, California as a trumpeter.

Dan spends a good majority of his time during January-May, September-December working onboard cruise ships as a Headliner. Prepared with two full 45 minute shows. The first a “Trumpet Evolution” if you will where he pays tribute to players such as Herb Alpert, Chuck Mangione, Maynard Ferguson and Louis Armstrong. In his second show he plays more of a modern roll playing the music of Chet Baker and Miles Davis but then turns it around half way through and performs one of his favorites Louie Prima. Sing Sing Sing, Oh Marie, Just A Gigolo and The Monkey Song all keep the audience alive and swinging with his high energy version of Prima.

While Dan is not on ships he works as a trumpet player/sideman for such bands as Los Stellarians, Los Angeles Swing Barons, Crowd Theory, Paul McDonald Big Band, Better Chemistry, Top Shelf Brass Band, Sonora Karnaval,The Killer Horns, formally The Derby Horns, part of the Killer Dueling Piano Show. With the ability to sight read and improvise, Dan is always looking to get into the next scene and experiment with new musicians and new music. Currently in the making of his first album Dan has gathered some of his favorite players from around LA to join him in creating this first of many to come. Covers will occupy this first cd and Dan has big plans for a new recording project of original electric music.
